Medical Update:

After being admitted into the hospital for 11 days my care team managed to save my colon! I did not need to have it removed, and for that I am beyond grateful and blessed.

Now that I am out of the hospital, I still have to recover. My body is extremely weak and I am still very sick. To be frank my body was shutting down, and I was slowly but surely dying. I was diagnosed with:
Severe Ulcerative Pancolitis
Steroid Induced Diabetes which caused me to become hyperglycemic
Hyponatremia
Iron Deficiency Anemia
Type 2 Diabetes
Severe Malnutrition
And I have a viral infection (no, it's not contagious)

My body stopped absorbing any nutrients, and between the viral infection and UC attacking my colon and digestive system I didn't stand a fighting chance on my own. My care team ran daily labs, and adjusted my medicine accordingly. They quite literally saved my life.

As much as I would love to come back to work, and start piercing again, I am just not quite ready for that. Walking is still hard, and sitting up for long periods of time is even harder. I literally have been bed bound for over a month. Though, I promise once my strength is back I will be ready to join everyone over at

I can still answer any questions you may have, and I am always accepting good vibes and prayers during this time.

I also want to give a big thank you to my husband. He has been my biggest rock during this entire thing. He's truly a blessing. He has been running the house, taking care of our son, taking care of me, and truly going above and beyond. you deserve the world.

I want to start off by saying I am so proud of and .mickey for getting up and running while I have been down. The amount of work and effort put into opening up our studio has been alot, but they got it done. ❤️ Also, message them to get on their books. They are officially taking appointments for tattoos.

Now onto the piercing side of the studio, I am not currently taking any clients because I have officially been admitted in UT Southwestern Hospital in Dallas to treat my Ulcerative Colitis. I did not heal after my last hospital stay, and infact I got worse. My body was hanging on by a thread. I am unsure of how long I will be in the hospital, but I can answer any piercing related questions you may have.

Medical update: Yes, I am okay, and I am home now.

I ended up back in the hospital due to a drug reaction to the Humira that was supposed to help treat my ulcerative colitis. It had gotten to the point I didn't eat or drink anything for 4ish days because I had no will or want to do either of those things. The only time my body wasn't in extreme pain was when I was asleep.

My husband realized quickly something was wrong, and he took me to the ER, and they sent me home. The next day, I had a gastro appointment, and he had me admitted into the hospital to receive help.

It was there that we discovered I was severely dehydrated, lacking potassium, sodium, and loss of red blood cells. We also discovered I had a mystery infection, and my body was actively trying to shut down from the drug reaction to the Humira. My blood sugars had also skyrocketed into the 400s, which is dangerous for a diabetic.

15 rounds of antibiotics, to many bags of fluids to count, and more medicine and insulin, then I care to admit. I am home. My body is weak, and I am healing.

I do not post this for sympathy, but more to just be open and honest about my life. This is raw, real, and not an easy road battling an auto-immune disease that you can't see.

Be kind to others. You don't know what they may be going through.

Life update: Things have been a beautiful blend of utter chaos, and joy. Tears, and laughter. Just navigating this new life has been a trip.

My animals are happier, my son is loving his new school, my husband came home after being gone for 70 days, and my physical health is finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel. For those that don't know my surgery is scheduled for Tuesday October 1st. So positive energy/prayers for a speedy recovery is always appreciated.

I'd say things are good. Grand even.

Life can be hectic, and sometimes feel like your world is crashing down around you..but there is beauty in the madness.

This is a late post for the ones that don't know, but I ended up very sick back in July. Thinking it was just an Ulcerative Colitis flare up, I ignored what was going on. By the time I was convinced to go to the ER I was in a very bad way. I had no energy, and was in a lot of pain.
We learned I had an infection in my colon, and a large 6 cm cyst on my o***y. Then was advised to follow up with a gyno and a gastro.

Gastro scheduled in a colonoscopy to see what was going on, and we discovered my UC has invaded my entire colon. Treatment to be discussed at my next appointment.

Gyno is scheduling an ultrasound to make sure my o***y has good blood flow, and then we are scheduling a surgery to remove the cyst and a partial hysterectomy to remove my uterus and tubes. Which I am honestly excited for. It'll be nice to not be in extreme pain once a month.

Life hit me with a curveball, but I am taking things day by day. I have a solid support group and am beyond grateful for that. ❤️ Just ready to be done with hospitals and doctors, but I will do what needs to be done to get myself healthy and functioning again.

Update:

Life got the best of not only me but also my family. After my sweet Momma got so sick, we fell into a small fog trying to navigate life. Then amid the chaos the company my loving husband works for closed their doors laying everyone off. We hit quite a hard patch, and are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. My husband is officially working in Canada doing a job he loves. 🇨🇦 🍁

We as a family are pulling out of the darkness, and planning on taking on some new adventures in our lives. So I will remain MIA for a while, but this isn't the end of the road. It's the start of something great. 🥰

My books are closed as I will be taking a leave of absence. If you have an existing appointment with me do not worry because you will be taken care of before my departure.
