Wow!! We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible turnout at our fundraiser for Avery! Your kindness and generosity have truly touched our hearts. Thank you to everyone who came out to support our amazing little boy. The support from this community has been truly humbling. Special thanks to Krusin' for Kids, Tim Holmes, and Tim Rodifer for their dedication and hard work in organizing and hosting this event. We’re out here at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center with Krusin’ for Kids hosting a car show for Avery! 🏎️❤️ We will be here until 7pm! We have food trucks, a bounce house, a raffle drawing, prizes, amazing cars, and most importantly fun times to be had with the family! We hope to see you here!

Just 5 days left until our big car show on Saturday!! Even if you don’t have a car, come on out and enjoy the four different food trucks options, face painting, fire trucks, snap on truck, and bounce houses! The giant Food City shopping cart is going to be there giving free rides. Everything is free besides the food trucks, so come out and have a fun day with the family while supporting Avery and Potocki-Lupski Syndrome(PTLS)! Don’t forget about the live auction as well. We can’t wait and hope to see everyone there!

As we get closer to this wonderful event, I wanted to share some information about Avery!

Avery is 8 years old, 9 in June! 😊 He’s a little guy and it’s been one of his biggest struggles throughout his whole life. He loves being outside, being with his Poppa in his garage, or hearing cars vroom their engines! 🏎️ Avery has a genetic condition called Potocki-Lupski syndrome! He’s the only person in Tennessee with this syndrome.

Potocki-Lupski syndrome is an extra bit of chromosome on your 17th chromosome. It’s called the happy gene and Avery sure does prove that true! He is always laughing and smiling, no matter what health complications he faces.

Avery unfortunately still cannot walk for reasons we don’t know and uses a wheelchair. He also cannot eat by mouth and is fed through a GJ-tube. That is a tube that passes his stomach and is fed through his intestines.

Our current fight right now is that Avery is throwing up 10-15 times a day, has had multiple procedures performed, is on more medicines than one person should be on, and yet we can’t get him relief. He has been fighting this since July of last year with little to no relief. One of our goals with this fundraiser is to be able to get him to a different doctor who could better help Avery and hopefully give him some relief so he can live his life and start progressing without constant nausea and sickness.

Thank you so much for reading and getting to know a little bit about Avery! He truly is one of the biggest blessings in our life and we can’t wait for everyone to meet him at this car show!

Hello and welcome to our page!

This page was started in honor of Avery and to let people know about our wonderful fundraiser coming up sponsored by Kruisin for Kids, Bristol TN.

Avery is 8 years old and was diagnosed with a chromosomal duplication called Potocki-Lupski Syndrome. Throughout his life he’s also been diagnosed with hypoglycemia, growth hormone deficiency, hypothyroidism, failure to thrive, amongst much more.

At the heart of our event lies a story that has touched the hearts of all who have come to know it. This little boy, whose unwavering spirit has inspired us all, has faced challenges that most of us can scarcely imagine. He has faced a world that hasn't always been designed to accommodate his unique needs.

Yet, despite the hurdles he faces on a daily basis, this young boy radiates joy, determination, and an unyielding zest for life. He has taught us the true meaning of resilience and the power of embracing each moment with gratitude. With this event, we hope to ensure that he has the support and resources he needs to unlock his boundless potential.

But this event is about much more than just a car show. It is about the power of community, the strength of compassion, and the collective effort to uplift those who need it most. It is about rallying together, as a force for good, to ensure that no child is ever left behind or disadvantaged by circumstances beyond their control.
