One of my favorite things to have in our garden are vegetables. We’ve been told our whole lives; “you better eat your veggies”, so figured it’s the smart thing to do, right!?!
BUT did you know...
😳 Only an estimated 9% of adults eat the recommended amount of vegetables per day.
😳 Only an estimated 12% of adults eat the recommended amount of fruit per day.
😳 It’s estimated that only 15% of children eat a high variety of fruits and vegetables.
Yikes!
So how much vegetables are we supposed to consume? U.S. dietary guidelines recommend consuming 2.5 cups of vegetables and 2 cups of fruit per day.

It’s June 1st and officially summer in my book!
If you’re sitting here thinking about how you hoped to be at your goal weight or “swimsuit ready” 👙 for the summer season, I’m here to tell you that it’s ok!
I’m also not going to tell you that there’s some kind of magic secret out there to rush to do that now before it’s too late 🙈.
BUT what I do want to say is, it’s never too late to start building health habits - one step at a time - towards something you are hoping for.
Maybe the first step is to create and maintain a healthy gut.

Are you an overthinker? Do you overthink a potential decision and wind up doing nothing at all?

It happens! I understand. But I don't want you to overthink getting healthy, so I thought I’d share the answer to one of my most frequently asked questions!
WHAT IS PLEXUS?

The song “Here comes the Sun” always brings a smile to my face. I can even feel the sun on my face.

It’s welcoming the Summer season with all it’s glory. Flowers, mowing grass, swimming, gardening, picnics…all things I love.

Now seems a perfect time to reflect before summer truly gets here on where we are and where we want to be. A perfect time to start taking action towards our goals and our dreams.

Let’s embrace this season and use it to propel us to our goals. I know life can be tough, and it is so easy to let our problems overwhelm us.. but with God, He will give us the power to overcome an obstacle that comes our way.

One goal I have…. Accountability here…. is to walk daily, eat healthier and to lose 20 lbs!

Where do you work? Today, my office is simply my front porch. I find it to be the perfect workspace for me as I sit and gaze out at the tranquil water view. The serene surroundings have a magical effect, instantly putting me in a more creative state.
