Today is Go Red for Women Day, and I’m reminded of the importance of protecting our hearts. As Mrs. Texas American, I know how vital it is to raise awareness about heart health, especially for women who’ve survived sepsis.

The truth is, sepsis can have long-lasting effects on the heart, and women are particularly at risk for heart disease later in life after surviving sepsis. It’s so important to take care of ourselves.

Listen to our bodies, stay active, and prioritize our heart health. ❤️

The Texas Crist system is so much more than just a pageant – it’s a family that lifts each other up, supports one another, and celebrates every success along the way. We have learned so much from each other, and we are truly blessed to be part of such a wonderful community.

It’s in those quiet moments during nationals when we kneel side by side, not just hoping for a crown but praying for each other’s dreams to come true.

We cry together— because we understand the journey. We lean on each other through every setback and triumph, lifting one another up when we feel at our lowest. Those sleepless nights, the self-doubt, and the nerves—we get it, and we’ve got each other’s backs.

In this sisterhood, we find strength in being vulnerable, courage in each other’s support, and a sense of peace knowing we’re not alone in chasing our dreams. It’s not just about the crown—it’s about who we become along the way and the lives we touch.
