The role of the Field Service Technician will be to support our printer and copier customer base and be focused on the installation, delivery, and servicing of printers and multi-function copiers, while providing excellent customer service.
Major Goals and Responsibilities:
Provide an outstanding customer experience through great communication and support.
Perform field repairs and maintenance on various office equipment to manufacturers specifications
Responsible for timely delivery and installation of printers, multi-function copiers, fax machines, and any other supplies as required
Secure equipment to prevent damage during travel and delivery
Ensure proper operation of machines upon installation follow-up service call, if necessary
Manage your day completing service calls to meeting customer expectations and company processes
Maintain accurate repair & delivery records for time, part, and company assets
Manage your car stock inventory
Train customers staff on usage and problem solving such as, paper jams, changing toner, document feeder, duplexing, changing size of documents, scanning to email/folder, faxing options, and adding contacts to address book
Ability to make decisions, use the tools available and the resources of others to accomplish objectives
Able to work comfortably with a variety of customers and associates
Flexible attitude and versatility in learning
High level of comfort using computers, tablets, phones, or other handheld devices
Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to lift and move up to 60 pounds of equipment
Ability to drive 10,000-pound delivery vehicle in a safe manner
Strict attention to detail and organized
Personable, customer-centric, honest, and trustworthy
Excellent time management: ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Self-motivated and hardworking
Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Discipline to work without close supervision
Ability to make decisions
Qualification and Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Background in electronics and/or mechanical devices is preferred
Vocational Technical education is a plus
At least 21 years of age to obtain DOT Physical Card
Natural mechanical or electronic ability
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
Compensation: Starting at $19.00 with no prior experience
Up to $5,200 in additional bonus opportunities as well.
