Project Overview:

Mobility123, a leading provider of mobility and access solutions in New Jersey, recently undertook a challenging project at the Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse located in the Logan South Industrial Complex, Gloucester County, New Jersey. This case study demonstrates Mobility123's ability to adapt, innovate, and deliver cost-effective solutions in complex environments.

The Challenge:

Originally, the plan for the Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse, a massive 1 million square foot building with extensive conveyor systems, involved the installation of a single lift. However, as the project evolved, it became clear that a more complex solution was needed. Mobility123 was tasked with installing two V1504 Enclosure lifts, addressing the unique architectural challenges of the building and ensuring seamless integration into the existing structure.

Ex*****on & Adaptation:

We approached this challenge with our usual blend of expertise and flexibility. The specifications called for two lifts: the lower lift with a travel of 156 inches (13 feet) and the upper lift with a travel of 168 inches (14 feet), both operating at a speed of 20 feet per minute. The installation posed several logistical challenges, including the need for chain hoists to move equipment to the upper levels and the coordination with on-site electricians for power and phone line installations.

Collaboration w/ Savaria:

A key factor in the success of this project was our collaboration with Savaria, known for their ability to customize equipment for seamless integration into existing buildings. Their expertise was instrumental in adapting the V1504 Enclosure lifts to meet the specific needs of this project.

Outcome & Reflection:

Despite the challenges, including changes in plans and the need for additional equipment, Mobility123 successfully completed the project. The lifts were installed, and the final inspections were passed, showcasing our team's ability to adapt to changing circumstances and deliver effective solutions. This project at the Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse is a testament to Mobility123's commitment to providing tailored mobility solutions, demonstrating our expertise in handling large-scale, complex installations with precision and care.
