Today we have locations in Agawam and Hatfield, and our new West Springfield facility that gives us the honor of being able to extend our outpatient services to people with Medicaid insurance (MassHealth) ♥️

The Sheriff's Office is looking to hire a motivated, empathetic, and dedicated Recovery Coach to work on the Hampden County Addiction Task Force. The ideal candidate may have lived experience and must be dedicated to building a partnership with people who are fighting addiction.

As a member of the HCAT Rapid Response Team, the Recovery Coach will engage in post-overdose outreach for survivors and their families helping to make connections with mental health providers, substance use disorder treatment, and any other service that would help the client and their families.

Xylazine is now being found in he**in and fentanyl sold on the street in Western Mass. This is a tranquilizer made for animals like horses and cannot be reversed by Narcan. Please share and stay safe!

Never Use Alone New England is now the Massachusetts Overdose Prevention Helpline. Please spread this among your networks! The service is being enhanced and rebranded, but they still offer 24-hour virtual supervised consumption and will activate EMS if the caller becomes unresponsive.

We are grateful for our fantastic Clinical Supervisor Michelle who has been guiding us these past few months:

Compass Recovery’s Clinical Supervisor Michelle MacLagan, CADC, is a seasoned professional substance abuse counselor with 28 years of experience in treating individuals and families impacted by addiction.

Completing her addictive behavior studies in New York State in 1994 and holding a Bachelor of Science in Human and Community Services from SUNY Empire State College, Michelle is currently completing her Master of Science in Human Services at Post University. Michelle has worked in all facets of substance abuse services comprising of direct care, supervisory and managerial from a trauma informed, person centered lens with experience and understanding of the many modalities of treatment including traditional outpatient, intensive outpatient, day treatment, residential inpatient, and crisis care.

Proficient in creation and management of clinical programming including training development and presentation for clinical staff, Michelle is passionate about the education and enhancement of skills in those who work directly with those afflicted with substance use disorders to ensure they receive the highest quality of care.
