Over the last few weeks, students have gotten the pleasure of working with our new COTA, Chelsea Hatcher! Chelsea has 5 years experience and she has lots of experience with pediatrics, helping her provide the best services to our students promoting optimal improvement in school function!

Following Thanksgiving break, our students have been hard at work using their hands and fine motor skills to create Christmas ornaments 🎄, writing letters to Santa 📮, and making wish lists for holiday gifts 🎁.
We have even completed obstacle courses to improve balance and coordination that can be used to improve those fine motor skills we have been using so often. ✍️
We are so proud of the hard work our students at Greenwood Charter Academy have put forth so far this school year! ❤️

We've been hard at work in OT at GCA the last couple of weeks! We've been working on some Halloween projects to help develop fine motor skills, visual motor integration, and problem solving skills. We are all looking forward to having some Halloween fun this week, too! 👻🎃

Before Fall Break, we had a great time making and playing with paper footballs, working on following visual instructions, focusing on bilateral hand integration, fine motor skills and strength, and finger isolation - all skills to improve handwriting! We are making great gains at Greenwood Charter Academy! 💙

Football season is kicking off at Greenwood Charter Academy! 🏈
In addition to creating our own football jerseys in OT this week, we also practiced using our unique thinking skills to build recognizable items with Lego blocks. 💙
Our skills were top notch this week! ✨

School is back in session at Greenwood Charter Academy and we got off to a great start in OT, too!
We learned about the Olympics this week, and made Olympic rings using many of our best skills! ✂️✏️
The students even got to practice their Olympic skills in activities of their choice, like tossing/catching, jumping, skipping, and hopping over obstacles! 🏃🏅🤾
