One of my favorite exercises is using the jump rope. It’s such an easy thing to do and you don’t need a fancy gym and you don’t even have to go somewhere. You can go on your driveway, sidewalk, walkway, street and even in your house. You can use it to complete HIIT workouts a few times a week and you will be amazed how great you feel and look.

“Jumping rope allows you get in a good cardio workout while also working on lower-body strength training.

You can make your legs burn, torch calories, and get all sweaty, just by using something you considered a toy as a kid, he points out.”

Believe me when I tell you it’s worth adding to your routine, and if you don’t have a routine. Start one with a simple jump rope.

I am going to post some simple workout routines you can use that will help you jumpstart your journey to feeling and looking better.

Here is a quick and simple recipe for making a CHAFFLE. Let me know what you think

Quick Tip: using a mini waffle maker works great and they are super affordable. I got one for $11 and I believe it was at target.

Ingredients:

1 egg
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper
1/2 cup shredded cheese—our favorites are cheddar, Monterey Jack, Mexican blend, fontina or Parmesan

Instructions:

Pre-heat dash waffle iron.
Whisk egg and cheese in a medium bowl.
Spray waffle iron with cooking spray or butter.
Pour about 1/4th of the mixture into the waffle iron and cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden. Remove and repeat for remaining batter.
Serve as waffles with pancake syrup or use as bread for sandwiches!

Have you ever heard of a CHAFFLE?? I know it sounds strange but it’s a delicious life saver when on keto.

So if you can’t guess it here it is - chaffles (cheese waffles)

The word “chaffle” refers to a waffle made with just cheese and eggs. Basic Chaffles do not contain flour, baking powder or any other ingredients. The mixture of egg and cheese makes the perfect fluffy waffles that have a slightly crunchy and cheese exterior. This viral low-carb trend is super keto-friendly, super easy to make, and SUPER low in carbs so it makes the perfect keto bread.

I can tell you that I can eat these things all of the time and they are so versatile.

What Is Intermittent Fasting (IF)?

Intermittent fasting (IF) is an eating pattern that cycles between periods of fasting and eating.

It doesn’t specify which foods you should eat but rather when you should eat them.

In this respect, it’s not a diet in the conventional sense but more accurately described as an eating pattern.

Common intermittent fasting methods involve daily 16-hour fasts or fasting for 24 hours, twice per week.

Fasting has been a practice throughout human evolution. Ancient hunter-gatherers didn’t have supermarkets, refrigerators or food available year-round. Sometimes they couldn’t find anything to eat.

As a result, humans evolved to be able to function without food for extended periods of time.

In fact, fasting from time to time is more natural than always eating 3–4 (or more) meals per day.

Fasting is also often done for religious or spiritual reasons, including in Islam, Christianity, Judaism and Buddhism.

This has been something I have been thinking about doing because people have always asked for advice on working out, eating right, keto, fasting, etc.. So this is my opportunity to do just that. I am here to provide a helping hand when it comes to learning to live a healthier lifestyle. We will focus on eating healthier, intermittent fasting, following a keto diet and working out. I have struggled with weight gain and know the challenge of staying on course and helping yourself stay on track. One of the biggest challenges is your mental health. Life throws a lot of curveballs and will sometimes place obstacles in your way. Some people just need that extra support to get them over the hump. I am here to help as much as I can.
