1.) Check blood glucose 2-3 hours after meals (or wear Continuous Glucose Monitoring System) to figure out which foods work and correct as you go.
2.) Eat 30 grams of carbohydrates or less at one time.
3.) Half of your plant should be consist of vegetables.
4.) Eat breakfast foods that are high in protein (eggs, greek yogurt, quinoa).
5.) Dose insulin 20 minutes before eating a meal with 30 grams of carbs or more.
6.) Eating an early dinner is beneficial. Eat more than 3 hours before bedtime and no snacking afterward.
7.) Cook at home instead of eating out.
8.) Reframe from eating out, cook at home instead.
9.) When eating at restaurants, order vegetables to replace normal side dishes.
10.) Replace normal side dishes with vegetables when eating out at restaurants.
11.) Instead of eating traditional dessert, eat berries.
12.) If you must snack, eat some nuts and seeds.
