Natural Trinity I'm Desiree Green, the Founder of Natural Trinity. I didn’t start out seeking to be a health coach or nutritionist. What I discovered changed my life!

I'm an author, health coach, nutritionist, & thyroid disease thriver, and I teach people suffering from hyperthyroidism how to feel strong and alive right now! For the past two decades, I have worked in the corporate world. Life turned me upside down when I had my thyroid removed. Fed up watching my health decline, I decided to take my health into my own hands. The healing experience I had with f

ood was transformative, and I had to share. I became a certified health coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). I received my Master’s Degree in clinical nutrition with a specialization in holistic health from the Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH). I have written a book about my journey with hyperthyroidism, and I am here to help you write your story.

Create Shepherd’s Pie: Stack flavors, bake til golden, and savor a comforting bite! 🥧✨ Indulge in layers of deliciousness with every forkful.

Ingredients
FOR THE PIE CRUST:
Flour, Salt, Vegan Margarine, Ice water
FOR THE GRAVY:
Vegetable Broth, Vegan Margarine, Almond Milk, Flour, Salt & Pepper, Poultry Seasoning
FOR THE FILLING:
Sautéed mushrooms, Peas, Glazed Carrots
Small Potatoes, Vegan Sour Cream,
Vegan Parmesan Topping

Instructions
1️⃣Begin by making the pie crust in a food processor. Add all ingredients refrigerate for at least an hour.
2️⃣Combine vegetable broth and margarine. Whisk together the flour and almond milk until smooth. Add to vegetable broth and add salt & pepper as well as poultry seasoning.
4️⃣Add the gravy to the leftover vegetables.
5️⃣On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough to 1/4" and place into your 8-9" pie dish. Bake at 375 until golden.
6️⃣Meanwhile, combine all of the ingredients for the mashed potatoes.
7️⃣Add the vegetable mixture to the baked crust.
8️⃣Spoon the mashed potatoes over the filling and using a small knife or spatula, create peaks and valleys on top.
9️⃣Sprinkle with the vegan parmesan and bake at 400 degrees until bubbly and golden.
🔟Allow to sit for 10 minutes prior to slicing. Serve with additional gravy.

Ingredients
FOR THE PIE CRUST:
1-1/4 C Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
4 Tbl Vegan Margarine
4 Tbl Vegetable Shortening
3-5 Tbl Ice Water as needed
FOR THE GRAVY:
2 C Vegetable Broth
2 Tbl Vegan Margarine
1/2 C Almond Milk
3 Tbl All Purpose Flour
Salt and Pepper to taste
1/8 -1/4 tsp Poultry Seasoning
FOR THE FILLING:
Leftovers such as sauteed mushrooms peas, glazed carrots, etc.
Stuffing and cranberry sauce if desired
FOR THE POTATOES:
6-8 Small Potatoes boiled until tender
1/2 Almond Milk
1 Tbl Vegan Margarine
2-3 Tbl Vegan Sour Cream
Salt and Pepper to taste
Vegan Parmesan Topping

Instructions
1️⃣Begin by making the pie crust in a food processor. Add all ingredients except water and pulse until combined. Add the ice water slow with the processor running. You may not need it all. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least an hour.
2️⃣In a small sauce pan, combine vegetable broth and margarine. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and almond milk until smooth. Add to the vegetable broth. Season with salt and pepper. We added a small amount of poultry seasoning, but feel free to customize the seasonings to your taste.
3️⃣Gather your leftovers (except stuffing and cranberry if using) and warm them in a pan.
4️⃣Add the gravy to the leftover vegetables.
5️⃣On a lightly floured surface, roll the dough to 1/4" and place into your 8-9" pie dish. Using a fork, prick the dough to prevent rising. Bake at 375 until golden.
6️⃣Meanwhile, combine all of the ingredients for the mashed potatoes.
7️⃣Add the vegetable mixture to the baked crust. Top with stuffing and cranberry, if desired.
8️⃣Spoon the mashed potatoes over the filling and using a small knife or spatula, create peaks and valleys on top. This will create a nice effect once browned.
9️⃣Sprinkle with the vegan parmesan and bake at 400 degrees until bubbly and golden.
🔟Allow to sit for 10 minutes prior to slicing. This will prevent the filling from running all together and help you create nice slices. Serve with additional gravy.
